Lovely little camp site with spotless facilities and lovely staff. We found it perfect for our 2 dogs as they have a nice woodland walk on-site which we used for the morning/evening toilet walks. Really close to wastwater, the coast and scarfell pike. Will come again

Excellent stay in beautiful campsite with excellent friendly staff

Beautiful location with hikes from the campsite. Clean facilities and a very useful little shop. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Make sure you book the pub for food as to not miss out!

We have been coming to this site for years now. Always get to pitch where we would like. A couple of observations this time. The toilets being closed between 11.30-12.30 is a problem especially for young families as there is not an alternative option. The shop used to be a thriving wee place with hot drinks breakfast sandwiches and the people were lovely and friendly whilst you waited. There was also the cabinet stocked with pies quiches scotch eggs etc none of which was evidenced on this trip. But maybe now the Sawmill along the road is open this is intentional so you’ll go there but it is very expensive! As is the Strands hotel, very expensive and not at all welcoming. The screes over the road was always lovely and bustling with really friendly people and this has now closed also!

Lovely situation, comfortable accomodation, perfect position for walking the western fells. Adjacent shop/cafe convenient

A lovely, quiet site with great facilities. We would definitely visit again in low season and midweek. Not sure I’d like to be there on a busy weekend/school holidays as we love quiet sites. I love the small field system and the fact that there are no lights anywhere apart from the toilet block. Great place to stay. Thank you

Perfect campsite set is a beautiful location. The staff are really lovely and helpful. The site is spotless with a convenient shop. There are two nice pubs just outside the campsite. The only downfall was there is zero signal but perfect if you want some peace and quiet.

We were on pitch 12 and at night there was a constants Noise. We discovered it was the pump on the waste ie pump.and on another note the site should invest in a proper WFI around the site, its nice to read the paper, download your walks, watch a bit of TV and all the other things you wish to do.Regards Mark & Caroline

First time at Church Stile...wow what a beautiful peaceful place, scenery simply stunning. Very clean everywhere, facilities spotlessly clean, showers, hot water, laundry room. Very good value for money. Farm shop is very handy if you have forgotten something. I camped in my van but friends stayed in a pod which was so lovely, the shepherds huts look gorgeous. Its all flat so no issues with accessability. Has a small play area if you have children. Local pubs at the bottom of the campsite were very friendly and welcoming and The Bowers Inn which is a short drive away was beautiful, very friendly, food was great with a log fire, everywhere is dog friendly too. Would highly recommend this campsite, I will be back for future trips!!!
