An easy site to find in a beautiful location. The reception from staff was friendly and helpful. The Castle pod was comfortable and well equipped. It was very cosy so we didn’t need to put on the wood burning stove. We had a wonderful uninterrupted view over the valley. The hot tub was brilliant.Lots of places to visit, walks and drives around. Had a great time.

Good location for visiting Hadrian's Wall - we caught the AD122 bus which runs every 2 hours, very good service. The campsite was quiet, well maintained and toilet/shower block spotless. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic site. Even the indoor chemical emptying point had underfloor heating! Possibly the best facilities I've seen in nearly 6 decades of caravanning.

Lovely clean campsite with small social room with vending manchine for snacks and drinks and aslo toast and kettle with table and chairs for the rainy days and cold nights.Great for kids with the small farm Animals on site andGreat for local walk and cycling around the area and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Initially booked to camp but the wind was ferocious. Went to reception and asked what I could do as I knew they had wigwams. They promptly upgraded me with no fuss at all and we're very accommodating and friendly.The toilets, showers and dishwashing areas are well equipped and we're consistently spotless. Washing up liquid provided was a nice touch. There's a common area with tables, microwave and fridge freezer for use which would come in very handy if camping in bad weather.Wigwam was the most basic one available but was still really well equipped (more than I expected) with a heater, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer. Comfy beds and a picnic bench outside too.I couldn't recommend this site more and will definitely be returning.

Herding Hill Farm A mile from Haltwhistle, surrounded by beautiful countryside you’ll find the delightful Herding Hill Farm. A warm welcome definitely awaits you here, and we were thrilled to be invited to spend a weekend in the 3-bedroom luxury lodge complete with hot tub. We arrived on Friday night after work, and to be honest a bit frazzled from the week. We were grateful to find everything set up ready so literally dumped the suitcases, changed into swimwear and jumped into the hot tub. Not having to bring towels or linen, as they are included, was a huge bonus. After an hour or so we realised we needed to eat so ordered 3 pizzas from the campsite takeaway for the five of us along with a bag of chips: delicious and plentiful. The luxury lodge is located at the front the campsite close to Reception. There is a small enclosed private garden with views over the animal petting farm which we loved! This is one of the best campsites my wife and I have ever visited, the owners are lovely and the facilities put many other sites to shame.Without hesitation if I’m in Northumberland again I will stay here.

We brought our granddaughters for one night stayed in a pod that slept 5 and had a toilet we paid for the deluxe pack aswell which was worth it we had a great time the girls fed the animals and made lots of friends.The facilities were spotless I had a shower the girls had a bath such a lovely site it’s our 2nd time here last time we came as 3 adults with a hot tub we will definitely return

Had the most amazing weekend the site is fabulous well looked after and clean the castle pod we stayed in was beautiful really clean and tidy lovely furnishings comfy bed, everything needed for a weekend was there. The hot tub was brilliant and the views were amazing in every direction perfect place to go if you want to get away for some peace and quiet only thing we heard was the sheep in the next field also brilliant if you want a walking or exploring get away ideal for either we wanted a relaxing get away as I just got out of hospital not one complaint . Thank you Herding Hill farm we will be back.
