1st stay at the site and we weren’t disappointed (Only with the weather). Clear instructions prior to arrival were easy to follow. The pod was warm with lights already on to welcome us. Nice touch was the welcome pack for our dog Ollie too. Facilities all we needed for our 2 night stay - brilliant shower too. Sadly onsite cafe closed as just arrived out of season, hopefully next time. Comfy bed, good night’s sleep and a wander into Bentham, quaint village with lots of shops for provisions, bakery, pubs and eateries. Great base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales weather permitting. This was our third visit, each time in the same pod.

Unfortunately, we arrived during the restructuring of the overflow car park about which we had not been warned. Since we had stayed before, we knew how to access the pods by the side road. The offices were closed and staff on leave whilst the civils works were taking over. We quite understood that, if necessary, such disruption has to take place at some time so at the end of summer makes sense. We have not reduced the overall stars review because of this.

Otherwise, everything was excellent: friendly staff; spotless accommodation with excellent facilities, spectacular views. The golf course is immaculately maintained but the layout has a few long walks between greens and tees. If your knees are getting old, hiring a buggy is well worthwhile. A good value break.

Local pubs are friendly. The Coach House probably has the edge for pub grub. Booking advised. For excellent food, book at The Highwayman, Nether Burrow, about 8 miles...Read less.

We stayed in one of the glamping pods over looking the golf course.The views were great and the pod was ideal for us,really clean,huge comfy bed and nice bathroom,as well as a kitchen with fridge etc!We didn’t book for the golf course but to do some walking with the 3 peaks nearby.However I will be recommending this to my friends who do play golf,the location is ideal and a small walk into Bentham which has a couple of great pubs to eat and drink in as well as takeaways and a coop and spar shops so everything you need. We had a most perfect three night stay in a pet friendly pod located by a pond overlooking the golf course. The pod was pristinely clean, super cosy with a very comfortable bed, an amazing shower, excellent bed linen & towels and the most perfect view. We even saw a stoat by the pond, from our window!

My husband was celebrating his 60th birthday and it was our 40th wedding anniversary during our stay...this was kindly acknowledged with banners and balloons - THANK YOU.

Stayed in a pod for 2 nights whilst golfing - pod was remarkably large with everything you could need even a torch to get you around the site safely. The bed was super king - same as I have at home which was very surprising. Plenty of storage , really good powerful shower and enough space for our golf bags and trolleys too . Me and three friends recently booked for the weekend playing and stopping at the static caravans Friday and Saturday . we played golf Friday and we were due to play Saturday at 12:30. The weather was bad in the morning but the weather report was fine for the afternoon but I was told that if the Course was closed in the morning it wouldn't reopen in the afternoon , obviously this was very disappointing as we came to play for the weekend and without the Golf there was no point in staying in the static caravan Saturday.

we did receive £25 each for the Green fee fees but I was surprised we didn't receive any compensation for the accommodation as £220 each for one night and round of golf was very expensive

Very happy with pods which were well provided for and very cosy with great viees. Great to be able to take our dog especially with the clubhouse being dog friendly. On certain nights if the weather isn't good then local opportunities to eat are limited. Would recommend that dog walking walkways around the course are clearly marked as was shouted at by an estate employee when innocently straying off the correct pathway. 13 of us, ladies, stayed for 1 night, myself and another added an extra night to relax into the perfectly located Pod with a view to die for. We really could not fault the facility re amenities, cleanliness and position. We were golfing but it is an ideal base for exploring around especially the tantalising views of Ingleborough etc.

Being a Sunday evening with no catering in the clubhouse (now there's a possible opportunity), we had an excellent takeaway from the Indian in Bentham.

Location of the pod is brilliant! Watching rabbits and hedgehogs run around the golf course at sunset was lovely. Basic ammenities in the pod but all we needed! Comfortable beds and great facilities! Excellent, loved the big lodge the Wensleydale, lots of room and positioned perfectly for the amazing views and the sunshine too! Location is fab , Bar 1922 was lovely for relaxing and watching the golfers while having a few drinks at reasonable prices too , still yet to eat there as we went when they had a funeral on and then we just missed out on food when trying again unfortunately, but the food looked great and hopefully in October we get to sample it , we had a lovely meal in the coach house in Bentham it’s a lovely friendly pub full of character, the caravan park is also fantastic and we usually go there but with having all six of us we decided on the lodge this time and we’re not disappointed! Beautiful walks just stunning setting and felt so relaxed that’s why we are returning in October! The whole site was clean and very well maintained. It was very quiet which is just what we wanted. The views over the golf course and beyond were lovely and added to the relaxed atmosphere. There were walks for the dogs and Bentham, which is within walking distance, had good facilities.

The staff in the clubhouse were both pleasant and helpful.

I thought it was good value for money and comparable to other sites we have visited.

Two minor points. The chairs outside of the pod were made of wood and not very comfortable. Guests may want to consider taking their own chairs or cushions. I was never really sure where I could walk the dogs. I found the signage confusing, but that may just be me....Read less.

A compact but very comfortable accommodation. Very clean with all the basic essentials (as well as WiFi) for a short break. A small hob in addition to the microwave would have been beneficial. The walks around the area are brilliant, so much choice and the village of Higher Bentham has all that you really need. Our pod was situated by the side of no.10 Tee, which was very entertaining at times as this is a difficult shot with many of the golfers finishing up in the rough at the bottom of the hill and displaying their displeasure by screaming and hitting the ground with their club, repeatedly in one such instance!! We've stayed at Wenningdale before, as my wife is from Bentham, and we were visiting family. The pods are really well sited with amazing views and easily accessible to the town centre and other villages. One downside for us, and this is not a criticism, but the two days we were there, the club restaurant was closed, and we were not able to get food. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! We were staying around doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the location is very accessible for Horton in Ribblesdale - less than half an hour drive away. The location itself is very peaceful, but very close to the centre of High Bentham which as plenty of amenities. The lodge itself was very nicely furnished and spotlessly clean - everything you need for a couple of nights. Onsite bar was good for a full English breakfast as well. The only downside is that we stayed at the tail end of a heatwave and the lodge got very stuffy and hot - we probably needed a bit more than the small fan provided! Our 7th visit. Lodge was as ever spotless and had everything we need apart from coffee machine (we take our own). Golf course immaculate and so scenic. Friday pizza night and live music so much fun. Clubhouse food superb from breakfast to Sunday lunch. Used the laundrette on Riverside this year so convenient and not expensive. Our Grandson loved the games room. Staff all extremely helpful and friendly it's nice to be remembered every year. Recommendations to visit are Kirby Lonsdale with nice independent shops and lovely riverside picnic areas. Clapham village start of the Ingleton nature trail and cave wallk. The drive over the moors from Bentham to Slaidburn is fantastic. Morecambe about 45 mins if you like rhe seaside.

A fabulous experience with good communication on booking and check in - the Pod was very clean, neat and tidy and the facilities in the Pod are good with comfy beds and incredible pillows for an amazing night's sleep. Welcome pack is for 1 night so if staying for more than 1 night you will need tea and coffee etc.

Access to the Pod after luggage drop off is by foot and an awareness of golfers playing across the path is important!!

Food is excellent but not always available which would be helpful to know when booking and a provision of information on other local eateries would help.

Excellent communication from Wenningdale. Very straight forward check in process. Helpful staff who were available to sort out any minor matters. Lodge was really well equipped and enabled us to self cater for the majority of our stay. The lodge represented good value for money, with discounted green fees for rounds of golf at the club.
