My husband and I took our newly acquired VW camper van to Norden Farm and we were very happy with our choice of site, a real find. We enjoyed 2 days of walking straight from the site in to beautiful Dorset countryside.
We really enjoyed that fact that Norden is a working farm with many lovely animals to see - cows, donkeys, goats, sheep. Also black swans, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks - just lovely to see.
The farm shop is stocked with - EVERYTHING you could ever need and more beside!
The facilities were great and very clean - there was even a 'Pooch Parlour' where we could shower off our dog's feet before she got in the van! We ourselves had the best shower at any campsite - really well kitted out with shelving and seat that pulls down.
We stayed out of season in October and so it was lovely and quiet too - would highly recommend....Read less.

We arrived on what was the wetest weekend of the year! We were late arriving so the warden showed us where we could park for the night on hard standing and then we were going to move to our pitch in the morning. Come morning it was so wet we were advised to stay where we were if that suited us which it did. Despite the horrendous conditions the site was amazing and the staff very friendly. The shop had everything we could of required, the facilities were great and the dogs loved their walks all through the woods. Our 10 month old daughter loved the miniture donkeys and a good time was had by all. We didn't get to play in the childrens area but it all looked very nice. Lots to do in the local area and we had a break from the weather on the steam train which is a walkable distance from the site. We will definately retun hopefully when there isn't so much rain....Read less.

We arrived at the office and were quickly offered a pitch very close to our family member by the very friendly staff. We had a giggle with them and a chat about the site and were made to feel very welcome.

We stayed at this site due to there being no availability at the caravan and camping site nearby and how lucky were we !!! It's an absolute gem that we will definitely return to. Being a farm there were geese and peacocks roaming free. You'd stroll past calves, sheep and goats in their pens and the walk up to the woods past the donkeys and lamas to take our dogs for a walk was just wonder. It's a very relaxed site, they even allow fire pits which just adds to your camping experience. Even though the site was quite full (for caravans and campers) at the time everyone was so chilled which I think is generated from how the site is. We were really surprised at the cost too, really good value. We will definitely be returning and will hopefully get a better photo of the local deer. Brilliant Site ! ! !...Read less.

The best shower facilities of any site we've been to, just a bit annoying that they are closed for so long when they are cleaned, from 11:00 - 15:00 , I'm sure it doesn't take that long, but the facilities are always very clean. We like Norden a lot & will use it more at low season. The site is great for both its location (hiking especially) and its variety of pitches in different fields. We fully understand that its a working farm first although some of the road access and 'junk' laying around seems to always be the same each season and could do with tidying up. The washrooms / shower facilities are good although they are beginning to show their age through heavy use. This is a working farm and as such will have noise, mess and smells associated with that. That said we had a lovely 2 wks holiday and it was nice to see the stars at night as the lighting was low key. The water in the washing-up area could have been a bit hotter. This is a good campsite for children with the many different types of birds and animals to see and learn about, but I do think all dogs should be kept on short leads and walked off the pitches. We were upset to find a big pile of dog poo right at the front of our caravan (must have been a large dog) and had to ask a site attendant to clean it up. The location is lovely, a nice walk (20 minutes) along a footpath into Corfe Castle village. We chose to camp outside of school holidays and this site was great as it was very peaceful. We deliberately chose a site with few amenities as we did not want a ‘Bultlins’ type of entertainment. We didn’t have a use for the play area but it looked well thought out although I did feel the ball play area was too far from the main camp for people with children and I was surprised at how small it was. I liked the animals available for all to pet and see up close and I loved the ‘traffic police’ i.e. the geese and peacocks that ensured everyone drove slowly. I think in the height of the season the shower facilities may be too few, although they could not be faulted for cleanliness. Duck, geese turkeys and peacocks wander about everywhere. There is a very good shop and washrooms are excellent. The campsite is in walking distance to Corfe Castle which we like very much and can walk into for an evening meal. Swanage is easy to get to by bus or the steam train in Corfe. We love this campsite and never tire of going there. On this occasion the blackberry picking was amazing! We love the fact that the steam train station is so accessible and the off-road walk to Corfe is lovely. The showers are great with removable shower hose and very good water pressure (important to me!). The birds and animals wandering around give it a wonderful proper rural farming atmosphere and the shop is quirky and great (but expensive). We love coming to Norden Farm and have stayed several times over the years. The staff are always helpful and polite and the park is well maintained, clean and spacious, whilst still retaining the working farm atmosphere that gives it such character. The showers are hot and plentiful and the toilet bocks clean and there is a nice playground for the young ones and wifi available for the teenagers. The camping field offers good old-fashioned camping like we had as children, and gives us a chance to share that simple joy of being outdoors with our own children. On-site fishing, music events and food in the evenings are a treat and a well-stocked camp shop has everything you could possibly need. Local bus services stop right outside the campsite so you can enjoy car-free days. The local area has a lot to offer for all ages, with safe sandy beaches, beautiful scenery, as well as lovely pub gardens, steam trains and Corfe Castle within walking distance, so that even our two teenage boys actually ASK to come back!...Read less.

Although we don’t usually stay on larger campsites we chose this one for the very fair way they priced their pitches and it’s location on our first visit to Dorset. It was an excellent site with a great balance of common sense do’s and don’ts without being dictatorial and lovely facilities -(even a hairdryer in the men’s wash room! ) which we found were always in pristine condition even though they were fully booked when we visited . A certain camping club ( who we won’t be renewing our membership with) could certainly take a leaf out of their book. The only thing which wasn’t so great was how close the bins were to the pitch next to them..Wouldn’t hesitate to return....Read less.

Norden Farm was our second stop on our GB tour and we were very excited about what to expect. We had a really friendly reception at the registration. By the way, we had (almost) only friendly contacts wherever we were in the UK. The campground itself was well organized and clearly arranged. The pitch we booked was very generous for our "Tent-Trailer". The whole area and all facilities was very well maintained and clean. Employees were always on the move mowing, turfing and cleaning. The campsite store was more than adequate equipped with everything necessary. Even camping equipment could be bought here at reasonable prices. Also Campinggaz bottles were exchanged here. During the main season, the food supply was simply super. So who did not want to cook or grill (fire bowls and grills by the way allowed) could feed here well :-). A nice change were the animals, some of which could be free on the area (geese, peacocks, turkeys) and otherwise around the area in the pastures (cattle with calves, sheep, goats, donkeys, deer, llamas) were distributed. Conclusion: An incredibly beautiful place for families with children ... have not seen everything after 10 days and will be happy to come back....Read less.

A huge campsite supermarket with everything you could possibly ask for, ample showers and a very good family room and beautiful surroundings with peacocks, geese and other farm a animals wandering around. We love coming to Norden Farm and have been coming for about 8 years. This trip was our second this year. I regularly camp with my son (12)on my own and always feel safe. The staff are helpful and friendly, the shop is great and priced well. The facilities are good, we loved the family bathroom when our son was younger as it has a small bath. We have done lots of walking from the site to the steam train station (crossing the busy road is a bit scary at times) but it's not far. There is a more challenging walk to corfe up over the hill and down near the castle. The walk up and down is step but level on top. The views are amazing, takes about an hour or you can go out the gate and the woods, it's an easier walk takes about 25 minutes. Corfe is a beautiful village some lovely pubs to eat in we have tried them all. All have lovely gardens too. The Greyhound has a good beer and cider festival. There is a nice bakery and the local shop has most things you want. Plus hundreds of gins. Swanage isn't far you can get the bus from outside the site entrance or walk to the steam train station. There is a couple of shops to stock up on food or drinks and a few good fish and chip shops. Wareham is also nice about 10 mins in the car, it has a small sainsbury. We also love the fact we can have a fire, we have our own fire pit but you can hire them....Read less.

We were a group of 3 families with children camping together. We wanted somewhere we could bring a dog, had good shower facilities and where we could sit around an open fire in the evenings. This ticked all our boxes!
We camped in the top field and despite it being a bank holiday weekend with the campsite very busy and very full, we still had ample space.
The toilets, showers and dish washing facilities are very good and are kept clean. The only issue was that at peak times when the showers were at full capacity the water pressure was very low and that lead to only a trickle of water at the washing up sinks.
There are enough drinking water taps around the site so that wherever you camp there is one reasonably near by.
The site shop is large and well stocked if a little expensive.
The Pizza van was an added and welcome bonus on evenings when we didn't feel like cooking (and the pizzas were very good!).
The location near Corfe Castle is lovely and you can't really hear the main road except in the distance at night when there are no other noises.
We enjoyed staying at this campsite and would definitely recommend it....Read less.

I didn't get an idea of size of campsite from the website - it's big and therefore impersonal which isn't something we like - It may suit others. The site was clean, tidy, well maintained and the shop excellent if a little pricey. I was shocked to be charged £6 per night for having to bring a second car because our estate car broke down - adding nearly £50 to my bill for absolutely no effect to the campsite - I felt this was a totally unnecessary charge and would stop me from booking again.
The campsite had several food vendors throughout the week - a great idea..... if we weren't camped opposite - it felt like being camped on the side of road - people would drive to the vendors and park beside our tent, queues and people waiting all evening and constant foot traffic back and forth didn't equal the relaxing quietness we were after. There were many parts of the campsite that were much calmer and looked great - I booked fairly late and putting up some hurriedly bought wind breaks improved the situation, but it was still disappointing. One evening a kid cycled out from behind one of the parked cars and another cyclist collided with her - the cars parking all over the place were frankly dangerous and a recipe for disaster... god forbid people walk back to their tent with their food! I have to say though - we used the food vendors once - the woodfired pizza was awesome!
We found the 'Pooch parlor' on the last day and gave the dog a lovely warm shower - this was great!
So, all in all, I can't fault the site itself - great location, loads to do, well maintained site with good amenities, we just got a pitch that was poorly situated for us - for others, I guess it would have been great! If I ever went back I would book early and request to be away from the food vendors....Read less.

Title says it all. Best site we have stayed on. We stayed on Donkey field and it was superb. Well looked after level pitches with ample room btween them for tent and car. We had electtic hook up but had to get an extension lead as we were just beyond the hook up post. But this was the only hiccup. The showers and washrooms were excellent. Good water pressure and very warm. They do get busy though so you may have to wait a while. Toilets and showers were very very clean and didnt smell like other sites we've stayed at. The owners really care about the appearance of their site and it shows. Its a working farm and has livestock that seem friendly (especially the cows in the barn) but they're not pets so keep little ones safe. Geese were typically noisy and the peacocks were a pleasant surprise. The farm shop is well equipped with a good range of fresh bread and goods needed for a self catering holiday. Nice alcohol selection as well as prepacked sandwiches and pies etc. Good selection of pet supplies and camping gear as well. Prices are very reasonable though. The staff were awesome even though they work long hours they still had a smile and the energy for a giggle. Location was perfect. Corfe Castle was a 20 minute walk. Studland about 30 minute drive. Monkey world and tank museum about 20 minute drive. The main road does get very congested at times but this can be avoided by good planning. Having messed up my booking (all my fault!), the staff managed to find my a pitch despite it being the bank holiday weekend so hugely appreciated the effort they went to.
The farm shop and staff were fantastic, allowing fires is a must for me, hence the booking. There were also enough facilities; shower and toilet were always available.
On the downside, there is just no space in the fields. The pitches are a good size but there are thousands of them, all divided by tracks. I'm used to pitches being on the outskirts of the field and the central area where the kids play, giving a great sense of space and not having to look into my neighbour's tent all day. I recommend looking at the pitch map before booking (if it's available on the website - I clearly didn't see it), to understand what you're going to. For me, it looks like they're trying to make as much money as possible rather than focusing on a quality experience. This is a real shame because there are many pluses to this site....Read less.

It’s a fantastic place for cycling and the steam train to Swanage is always a favourite with the kids. My only reservation on a clean sweep of five stars is that the washing and toilet facilities could do with a bit of an update and there aren’t very many for the size of the camp site. Nordon farms facilities are excellent the washing and shower blocks are constantly improving as is the on site shop.
There is always something to look at on the farm, a new calf or peacocks, and as I have a dog the walks within seconds are great. You can easily walk to Corfe Castle, and swanage railway is a 10 minute walk, which takes you into swanage or wareham without having to drive.

Lovely place, great staff and shop mean you can just arrive without spending days planning and packing - on site food is first class. The designated kids play area gets very crowded and is possibly undersized given the capacity of the site (it may be better not having one at all, then we could avoid 30 kids squabbling over 2 swings and they’d find other things to do).

Could do with more things for kids to do, like outdoor table tennis, darts, pool table or a croquet/boules lawn area or short-grass field to play ball-games, but we tend to bring more games than we get to use. Some campers set fires away from their tents so they don't get smoked out, which means everyone else does, so could do with better guidance/checking on that otherwise that's all you smell all night. location is brilliant, there was a live band Friday night on site, enjoyed listening to that around the site - well done!...Read less.

Great view of Corfe castle on approach to the site. First time on the site and would definitely use it again. Have been coming to GDSF for 30 years and for the last 20 have used the same site but had to change due to buying a small campervan which meant that I had to commit to a 1 week stay at my previous site over a bank holiday weekend but not here. Hooray! 20 minute walk to Corfe Castle to a pub with a cider festival. Good choice of food on site (pizza and hog roast) and a live band on the Friday night. Tons to do in the local area. Good well stocked shop with farm eggs to buy. Good facilities which were clean and hot showers. Looking forward to next year....Read less.

Being a group of under 18s, we found it a very daunting prospect to find a campsite that would accept us booking, but Norden farm was wonderful in accommodating us. We weren't made to feel belittled by staff and were given full support. All staff were amazing and helpful, doing their best to help out where possible.
The store at the campsite was well-stocked and carried nearly anything we needed; the fact that the village of Corfe Castle was only a short walk away helped too, as it meant we were fully covered in case we needed something.
Facilities at the campsite were all good too - toilets were kept as clean as could be, the only downside being messy visitors, which I understand is not the fault of the campsite and I feel was dealt with as best as staff could.
Following on from that, the showers were also good, offering hot water on demand. The full walls between each cubicle are a nice touch and add full privacy. However again there were a few issues with the hygiene of other campsite visitors, leading to some nasty discoveries in the shower cubicles - but again, this is no fault of the campsite. I'm sure it is a rare occurrence and they dealt with it promptly and professionally, so I can only give them further credit!
I liked how quiet the campsite became at night, considering how close it is to access from the nearby motorway - you don't hear it at all and can sleep well through the night.
Pitches were large and well-kept (ours was massive!) and electric hook-ups all worked well during our stay, with every fellow camper respecting the rules of EHU use, meaning ours was not tripped at any point. I also think allowing open fires in fire pits is a lovely touch on behalf of the campsite, as it is often not allowed elsewhere.
Like mentioned previously, the village of Corfe Castle and the similarly named castle itself are only a short 20 minute walk away through lovely scenic countryside - the castle is cheap access and the village hosts a range of pubs and eateries, along with a post office, local museum, and a well-stocked village store.
Both from the village and from Norden, you are able to get either a steam train or bus directly to Swanage town, the train costing £15 but offering wonderful historic experiences, the bus costing around £4-6 per return ticket. Either way, Swanage is definitely worth a visit and boasts a lovely range of attractions for both kids and adults.
Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful holiday on Norden campsite, at such great value for money. Our entire group is extremely grateful to all the staff for allowing us to stay and I will definitely be recommending it to everyone who decides to go camping in the area....Read less.

I must first point out that we had a fantastic week staying at Norden Farm, but there are a few areas that need to be addressed which I feel would make your campsite and visitors stay perfect. We stayed in pond field and were situated right next to the toilet block, every time a visitor had a shower and pulled the shower seats down the noise seemed to be so loud and could be heard late at night and early in the morning - only a minor inconvenience but I do feel this needs to be looked at. In high season there is certainly not enough toilets and shower blocks to accommodate all of the visitors in the pond and top field and we found ourselves to always be waiting to use these facilities. Because of the amount of visitors the toilets did tend to get into a sorry state, I realise these are cleaned daily, but feel in high season this maybe does need to be increased. We adhered to the strict pitching rules, but it did not appear to be in force for other campers and saw some tents and gazebos being pitched very close together. Also I feel that again in high season the park areas for children needs to be made larger.
As mentioned above we had a fantastic time at Norden Farm and these are only points I feel need to be addressed and did not affect our holiday in anyway....Read less.

Be aware that main road past the site can be very busy during peak times so not really a great base for cyclists, especially kids.
Facilities on the site itself are good and clean. Particularly liked the provision of male/female and unisex showers, which are great for families.
Site was very busy in the week before August Bank Holiday, but decent sized pitches so not really a problem.
Shop was well-stocked and reasonably priced with some interestingly random products :)

I was also quite disappointed with the children’s play area felt this could have been bigger or at least another play area maybe in the events field. We have been staying at Norden Farm for about 7 years now. The staff are wonderful, the park clean and the facilities are just what we want.
We like the fact there is no "club house" and visitors are encouraged to be considerate of neighbours.
We are always well looked after and this recent trip was no different. The staff are always willing to help and explain.
The only negative thing we could say is the recent decision to not allow awnings to be pitched longer than 2 weeks. We normally book for a 3 week stay but had to limit ourselves to 2 weeks because of this new rule. When we spoke to staff regarding it they were friendly and took the time to explain why the rule had been made so we do fully understand the reasoning.
Overall, we will certainly be booking again for another stay - we wouldn't look at any other campsite in the area....Read less.

I went down to meet friends there and as we hadn’t booked at the same time, I was unable to get a pitch next to them - this was frustrating as it meant I couldn’t do much in the evening as I had to put my son to bed; however, I think they would have if I’d have booked at the same time. This was our fourth stay at Norden Farm and my now teenage children continue to want to stay there. As we enter the site, being greeted by the view of the ridge, the footpath to Corfe Castle Village, the small avenue of trees by the cottage and the farm's animals are all now familiar and yet still exciting and beautuful. The site is clean and tidy, including the cleaning, washing and toilet facilities. This time we had electric hook-up for the first time as we now have a trailer tent so stayed in main field, which was lovely. We walked to the station at the Norden steam rail line to Swanage, which we always love to do. We joined the National Trust to use the Studland car parks and to enter Corfe Castle with its medieval village feature, which is another holiday tradition of ours. This time we had our dog, who was both welcome and happy both at the site and also at our traditional holiday haunts: the Greyhound Inn, Corfe Castle, Knowle Beach, Studland, Beavers cafe in Swanage and the train. The shop is great, the staff friendly, and the site features like the pond and different animal areas are lovely. The area is beautiful, the sea blue-green, and I've returned since I was a child. There are many other attractions in the area, so a couple of weeks at least helps cover it all, but we come to the beaches for day trips from Somerset too. Look everything up and chat to people in the site to find out all the lovely places in the area, all easily accessible by car from the site. We'll be booking ahead for next year....Read less.

Norden Farm is a large site that somehow feels far more intimate, we stayed on the Donkey field, couldn't find the donkey but did meet the peacocks and geese, this was a field that had around 40 pitches a mixture of electric and non electric and was predominately families. The field is quite sheltered and is only a short walk to the toilet, wash station, laundry and a bit further on was the shop, the plots are flat and drain well and where well looked after.
The farm shop stocks everything from camping supplies to farming equipment. your known food brands and local food, beer and gins, the staff where friendly and really organised and really helpful. They also had several pop up food sellers of an evening, the pizza was excellent but the chips where not the best.

We have been staying at Norden for 3 years during the school holidays in our caravan. The site has great facilities and the reason we go back is because locally there is so much to see and do. The staff are helpful & friendly and considering the capacity and volume of visitors to such a big site, the facilities are managed well, clean, functional etc. This year's addition of the telephone box book swap is great! We used the pooch parlour this year too which is so convenient. We will always revisit at some point, we have 9 days booked next summer already. It has it all. Excellent site, pitches well marked out, quiet at night and showers/toilets/washing up block excellent. Very clean and well maintained. Large site that never felt too busy. The opportunity to visit the farm animals throughout our stay made my daughters holiday! From the donkeys to the peacocks - she loved it. The food options on site were great, amazing pizzas, and shop has everything you need for food and camping supplies. We are national trust members, which was great for parking at the beautiful beaches at Studland which we visited most afternoons and we did a couple of NT walks too - old Harry’s rocks and Spy Way. It was lovely to walk into corfe from the site too, fab bakery and kids loved the sweet shop! We food shopped at Sainsbury’s in nearby Wareham and drove to Swanage, Poole and Bournemouth. Shame the ferry to sandbanks isn’t working this year. On other sites we’ve holidayed at, caravans and tents have their own areas of campsites, here they seem to mix them up, or maybe this was just the main field where we were. We never felt unsafe during our stay, but the addition of a number plate recognition barrier would be a good idea. The site is on a working farm, which we liked, but the old farm sheds and barns, which you walk past/drive through at the entrance to the site and shop, did concern me a little with regard to safety, as did the tractor unloading hay bales amongst pedestrians and cars. This is just part of being a working farm site though, so we just made our children very aware of that. I’d not hesitate to recommend this site and we’d definitely return....Read less.

We had 5 nights at Nordin .
On arriving at site we were informed of our pitch, which was not the one we had asked for.
it was right outside the Washrooms and also the food vendors area, great you say for late night visits to the loo, and nightly feasts , but not a pitch for those who would like a bit more privacy and tranquility.
There was a constant hum of hand dryers, shower benches crashing , dish washing activities and not to mention cars parking right outside our pitch with engines running whilst occupants made quick dashes to the loos or to pick up a Dorset Pizza, not the fresh air we were expecting.
We made the most of it, but will only return if we are given the pitch we asked for.
Everything else about the site is fine....Read less.

Me and my partner had an excellent time away. The wash facilities were very clean the showers were lovely and hot which you dont get on most campsites. There was a little park next door for the children and alot of farm animals to look at as the site is based on a working farm. There are s choice of 4 beaches that are accessible from the campsite which we did three Swansea, Poole and Weymouth all were beautiful beaches with plenty of activities and loads of places to eat. The campsite was easy to find with a satnav and next time we'll be able to find it without it. This was a very cheap holiday for us £56 for 2 nights in a tent with electric. When we return we'll be bringing our son so we wont need to have electric but the place is very child friendly but as me and my partner didnt know the site we thought we'd check it out first. It was very easy to book over the phone and the lady was very friendly and helpful. On arrival the process was very easy.I stayed in Top Field. It was busy but friendly and id definitely stay again. It has to be said the campsite shop was a welcome surprise. It's the largest i have seen on a campsite and they sell fresh produce, fruit and veg as well as fresh bread.I needed to replace my air bed and the shop even has a camping supplies section.I could even have bought a new tent if i needed to.If i didn't want to cook there are take away facilities on site,a pizza stall which is very popular,a fish and chip stall and there is a hog roast every week and there was live entertainment that went with it the week i was there.I didn't have an electric hook up,i didn't really need mains electric apart from charging my phone and camera batteries, and the site do that for a small charge. The showers and toilets are fine, and kept very clean. The staff maintaining the site did very well and kept every clean and tidy. The site itself is very flat so i didn't have to sleep on a slope. The campsite is part of a live farm that has cows, goats, sheep, geese, peacocks, ducks and are very much part of the campsite experience.Location? 15 minutes gentle stroll via a woodland pathway to Corfe Castle, and right on the Swanage,Wareham road, but there is no traffic noise.Would i stay again? This is a very well organised campsite which still has a relaxed feel about it (helped by the beautiful rural setting, and the fact that it is all grass pitches with no hard standings). All the facilities have been well thought out - for example, having separate entrances for toilets and showers, and cubicles with just basins in the shower block for teeth cleaning or a quick wash. The main draws for us were the location (access on foot to Corfe Castle and the Swanage Railway, plus easy to visit places like Kimmeridge and Durdle Door by car) and the animals: the farm cats, free-roaming peacocks, ducks and swans by the (fenced-off) pond, and cows and goats in their stalls helped to keep the kids engaged and meant they could run off and explore. The playground is mainly suitable for younger children. The visiting snack vans, while charging tourist prices as you would expect, are a good touch and handy for an occasional treat. Bad weather meant we weren't able to try out the wood-fired pizza or the acoustic music planned for the event field, but this also seemed to be well organised, placed well away from the camping fields and not going on late. Other reviewers have complained about the 11pm "quiet" rule but this was a definite attraction for us. The only - very minor - blot was the use of a leaf blower to tidy up the apparently spotless area around the shower block, which was a bit of a shame on a peaceful afternoon, but you can't blame the staff for doing their job in keeping the place neat and it didn't go on for long. Norden Farm have struck the right balance between having everything organised and allowing visitors space to enjoy themselves. We will definitely be visiting this lovely place again....Read less.

Holiday for four adults and two children in two tents (one a trailer tent). We were on the Top Field - no power and facilities a couple of hundred metres away. Site was well used but didn't feel crowded. Not too much light glare at night. Site clean and tidy and great walks straight off site - e.g. To Corfe Castle over the ridge and woods and heath to the north - where there were many fallow deer. Shop was good; you could get what you needed right there. And pizzas two days a week and a catering van too. There were two event evenings with music - very nice. There were animals for children to be close to, and good but small play facilities. It would have helped if advice was given on arrival about winds and weather; the winds came down the valley direct from the west; we pitched side on to the wind and had to break camp early in wild weather as a result. Overall this is a well set up and well run site, definitely recommended....Read less.

We have just come back from an absolutely wonderful week’s stay at Norden Farm campsite in our campervan with two boys (aged 3 and 5). I cannot fault the site at all. We were allocated an electric hook up pitch on Donkey field, which was near to the main toilet facilities, which was perfect for us. The pitch was marked out fantastically with yellow posts and you pitched in the middle to ensure the 6m rule between tents / campervans was adhered to. There was lots of grass to play on between the pitches and the boys were able to play games whilst we could safely watch them from the van and awning. I have never known a campsite so quiet at night too – how totally brilliant. Our boys still go to bed reasonably early, so it was great that by 9pm most nights although some people were still sitting out the noise was kept to a minimum and we barely heard anything after 9:30pm most nights!! I was super impressed with the site maintenance as well – bins emptied very regularly and grass was cut after each pitch was vacated!!
The toilets were always clean, always had toilet roll and I can honestly say I never waited once to use a toilet or shower (which I wasn’t expecting in the school summer holidays!!). The showers although in the same building are separate from the toilets and there was a family bathroom, which had shower, change table, toilet, sink and bath (for use with children 3 and under), which we utilised on a couple of occasions as our youngest still loves his baths, so we showered the big one whilst the youngest was in the bath – perfect!! The washing up facilities were great and because we were so lucky with the sunny weather, we utilised the washing machine (which was £3 – you got tokens from the farm shop / reception) to wash and dry clothes before we got home!! The play area was next to the main toilet block and was great to burn off a bit of energy. The animals on the farm were great fun, we all especially liked our regular visits from the peacocks to the front of the awning!! We spotted pigs, chickens, goats, ducks, peacocks, cows and I’m sure a few more we missed!!
The farm shop was always well stocked and competitively prices and staff were always friendly and helpful.
The rest of the campsite was lovely too, the main field was bigger than donkey field but still very spacious pitches and there was another toilet block between main field and pond field. The pond was nice to walk around and there were a few goats between the two fields. The top field was a free for all with no EHU, but again still looked pretty spaced out and didn’t seem noisy, they had separated the field so it was groups one side and families the other. The farm had regular visits from takeaway vehicles the wood fired pizza was delicious – and so reasonable at £6 for a 9” pizza and only £1 extra for a gluten free base!! We loved the band tent just across from top field, we went two nights and saw a couple of live bands. The hay bales to sit on were cute and the visiting hog roast van a great (and very popular) idea!!! A lot of thought has been put into this area by the campsite and I can honestly saw it was lovely and being utilised by a lot of campers on the site.
The campsite is in a wonderful location, the scenery is just incredible. We walked to Corfe castle along the footpath from the campsite and through the woods, it took us around 30 minutes (at 3 year old pace) which was perfect. Corfe castle is National Trust and they had a medieval village on and there was a trail the kids to do too which was fab. We even managed a drink in the Greyhound pub beer garden whilst the kids had an ice cream!! We got on the bus to Swanage for the day, which was about 20-25 minutes, very cute little seaside town and we were lucky enough to be there for the carnival parade too. We also got on the steam train another day, we walked from the site to Norden station – there is a super wooden train play area there for kids – we went there multiple times (just to use the park!!)
We had day trips out to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Shell bay beach and crabbing in Swanage all within 20 minutes or so of the campsite and we went to Weymouth for the day which was around 35-40 mins.
We totally loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The campsite has the perfect combination of open space and feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere to being able to see so much of Dorset’s beauty right on your doorstep. The campsite has been carefully thought out and designed and works brilliantly. We will definitely be back. Thanks Norden Farm....Read less.

We were staying here for a second time (first time back in 2012 when our daughter learned to ride her bike here!!). Then we were in a tent, and it was a bit blowy and we were subjected to a large party behind us who liked to party hard ..
This time, we'd heard there had been a few upgrades to the park and read lots of good reviews, so decided we'd return as it was the perfect location for our short break to take in our usual haunts (Durdle Door, Corfe, Studland, Swanage). We'd hired a camper van with drive away awning - but brought hubby's car to travel about in (extra storage for the snorkelling kit etc. too!)
We knew the site was full, so felt lucky to find a decent sized pitch right against the back fence of the Top Field (looked newly vacated) - we had amazing views up the valley, where the cows were grazing and the sun set over the trees.
Our first night there was a live Celtic band playing in the Events field which was a really nice touch and well attended. We had also had the wood fired pizza from the van on site earlier for dinner - very nice!
We bought breakfast from Sally every morning - lovely lady, very friendly - (look out for a brand new jar of pickled eggs)..
The toilets/showers were great - shower cubicles a really good size and water very hot - pressure ok. Didn't use the washing up facilities as had the van.
Recycling/bins set up very good and central -saw hardly any rubbish around the site.
The farm animals are wonderful - and we were lucky enough to have a calf born during our stay!
We were lucky with the weather - just had the rain on the last night and the start of the winds - were glad we were leaving before the worst of the winds arrived as even in a 'fresh breeze', you are quite exposed in the Top Field!
The shop has just about everything you can think of - the local sausages were lovely and the Jack Rabbit Merlot went down a treat on the last rainy evening over a game of Scrabble!
We look forward to coming again - keep up the good work!...Read less.
