We were greeted by a pleasant smiling warden who made sure that we had everything that we needed. We already knew which pitch we were on due to the helpful board that informed us as we arrived.

The pitches were a great size and well distanced for privacy and peacefulness.

There were ample toilets that were closely located and they were kept impeccably clean. The site was well located for the coastal walks to Solva and St Davids.

We stayed at 3 campsites over a week and this was by far our favorite. We'd highly recommend to friends and will return in the future....Read less.

Have just returned from 5 nights at Llanungar Caravan and Camping. This was our second visit and we hope to return. Nothing fancy, just a small quiet site. The facilities are well looked after, field kept mown, the warden friendly and helpful and a reception area full of suggestions for walks etc. One of the main attractions for us is its location. A short walk from the site gets you onto the coastal path, with fantastic walks into either lovely Solva or St Davids....Read less.

We had visited Solva in the past and thought the area was worth a longer stay. The Llanungar site was great as a base, Walking from site into Solva was easy and possible over a few different routes--all avoiding the busy direct road. The welcome was very friendly from Elaine and the site facilities were always kept very well. Dog walking from the site was easy with a choice of routes available. One improvement we could suggest is to have a designated play area as the large space in the main field will probably be used for ball games with the consequent risk of damage to tents and caravans....Read less.

Llanungar camping and caravaning is a great site, well kept and maintained by Nathan and his team. The shower/ toilet block was spotless with excellent hot showers

The pitches were spacious and well kept. It rained a little while we were there but the site was still immaculate.

The site is situated just 5 mins walk to the bus stop where you can catch the bus to link all of the Snodonia national park area.

Ther is a pub if you want to pop for a drink 5mins walk away next to the bus stop.

This site is up with the best I have stopped on in the 4 years we have been having travelling holidays in our campervan.

I camped along with my sister and brother in law at Llanungar camp site last week.

We found it a lovely site which was immaculate and very quiet.

The showers were free and lasted as long as you needed. The toilets cleaned frequently and there was never a queue!

We were able to walk into solva which was a beautiful little harbour with good pubs and interesting shops.

We found the location excellent, being out of Solva but within easy safe walking distance of the town which has plenty to offer. The walks from the camp site were spectacular as were the trips to St David’s and Whitesands beach and walks.

The campsite itself is well laid out with the static caravans completely separate meaning the site felt intimate and spacious even when full at the weekend.

We spent a couple of nights here and it was fabulous. The pitch was wide and airy so we didn’t feel hemmed in. We loved the quirky parts to the grounds. The toilets and shower areas were up there with the best we have seen and we have camped a long time.

Overall a fab site we will return to and have already recommended to family.

The site is situated close to some great days out and the added bonus of such a delightful tearoom serving cakes and meals just adds to the overall enjoyment.

The site is lovely with good, clean facilities. Nice shower block, chemical waste disposal point, recycling point, washing machine and a community room with lots of information and a kettle! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The site is located just outside of Solva, about a twenty five minute walk down to the harbour and shops/restaurants. It is a bit of a climb back up but not too onerous.

The site provides good access to the Wales Coast Path, with a couple of hours walk to St Davids....Read less.

All the facilities are in excellent condition. The camping field and grounds are beautifully kept. The site is situated next to a large Nature Reserve,which was former RAF airfield. It is also well placed for connecting with various footpaths and the village of Solva.

My only niggles are, the washing up water could be a little hotter, but may have to comply with regulations of having to be 40C. Being charged £2.00 per night for a dog, when the only facilities are two poo bins, and around £6.00 a night for electric. The difference in cost between the non electric field and the EHU field. We're pushed to use more than £1.50 actual usage per day.This said, we would definitely stay again, so just niggles!...Read less.

Our first time staying at Llanungar Caravan and Camping and definitely won't be the last. The site came recommended by a friend who has stayed there numerous times over the years, so we thought we would give it a go for the UK Whitsun week. First impressions were brilliant, a friendly welcome by Mark with clear instruction about the site and pitch area as well as giving us a handy guide for the local area. We stayed on a electric hook up grass pitch, freshly mown pitch in lovely condition and the pitches are huge, so plenty of space for our twin axle 8ft wide tourer+plus awning, no problems at all. The van overlooked the grass area which was enjoyed each night by families playing football, rounders etc. Shower blocks although dated, are very clean, tidy and well maintained with nice hot electric showers and plenty of sinks. The walks from the site are also amazing, Solva being just 15 mins away. We loved it here and hope to return soon and for longer! Thank you Llanungar staff....Read less.

Lovely place to stay. Walked to Solva everyday via farm lane or coastal path. Wardens are very friendly and welcoming. Lovely walks to the old airfield to exercise the dog. Stayed on the paddock without EHU.

My family and I recently had a pleasant three night stay camping in the recreational camping field (without electric). We made to feel very welcome by the site owner. The shower facilities were kept very clean, and the office provided plenty of information about the site and surrounding area. We made good use of the kettle and freezer (for ice block use only). For use during busy periods, it might be more useful to have a wall mounted mains-fed water boiler. A fridge would also be a helpful addition....Read less.

Great bathrooms, pitch had a slight slope but nothing major. Site is clean and well kept although the bins were overflowing (end if a bank holiday weekend, the owner did apologise). The area is very peaceful with lovely walks. We will definitely return to spend more time exploring.

Nice looking pub...we didn't go in this time. Only improvement would be slightly clearer signage at the entrance...you have to turn into what looks like the pub carpark when approaching from the village....Read less.

Laundrette was welcomed! Grass pitches. Do prefer a hard standing as grass wet mornings. Showers ok. Would prefer more mondern locks. Good location to beautiful Solva and we cycled safely into St Davids a short distance away. Solva has a good shop with take away meals to which my husband enjoyed. Not much for gluten free diets though.

Getting too old for camping in a tent this was the first time away in our new campervan. From our experience with camping this site and its facilities are up there with the very best.

We had a warm welcome from the manager who explained everything The grass pitch was neatly mown with "no mow May strips" between pitches which were all spaced out around a large central square of grass.

The facilities were spotless and the electric showers free and nice and hot.

In the office there was plenty of local information including marked up maps for local walks of varying lengths which was a nice touch we have never seen before.

Hopefully never needed they had first aid equipment including a defibrillator.

The site was so quiet and peaceful

Llanungar is a peaceful site and only a gentle 20 minute stroll to/from Solva.

Side note: I noticed while having a few drinks in Solva that the local venues had live music, I'm including this in my review as an FYI.

Facilities at Llanungar are well kept and clean.

We have one of those mini fire bins so I personally loved the fact that there were fire bricks available to protect the grass, if you wanted to have a campfire. Stayed here to walk parts of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which is a short 10 minute walk from the site. So a great location added to which super clean facilities and friendly team on site to look after you. Really helpful advice backed up by lots of info at reception for local walks.

Solva is a lovely village with plenty of pubs and a few shops. Only short walk from the site. Recommend the Hats and Barrels for great local food. Took us an hour to walk into Saint David’s along the Coastal Path....Read less.

Lovely campsite with clean facilities and a heated communal room you can sit in when it rains. There's even jigsaw puzzles and games. There's even a hairdryer in the bathroom, which is a feature I rate very highly. There's also a washing machine and warm water for washing up. Just had a week at Llanungar, we stayed in our van in the paddock, very peaceful and a lovely campsite in every way. The facilities were absolutely spotless whatever time of day or night you used them. The staff were lovely too. What a lovely place to stay! Had 9 nights here and found the site lovely and clean. Facilities are basic but adequate. Always very clean and staff are very helpful and chatty but not intrusive. The area around Solva and St Davids is beautiful, the costal path has some fantastic views. We had a meal in the Cambrian pub, Solva on a couple of occasions with lovely food served and friendly staff.

A welcome office packed with useful area information, run/walk/cycle routes for all abilities & distance. Friendly wardens who keep everything clean & tidy. In the electric hookup area we were booked there were aprox 18 very well spaced pitches in a large U shape yet so wide there is no overlook. I’d seen previous reviews regarding facilities (2 showers 4 Loo’s) during our 4 night stay where all pitches were occupied, not once did I have to wait to use either and no one waiting when I vacated either! Loo roll/hand towels/soap regularly replenished and area very clean. Washup area also to high standard of cleanliness & left that way after each use. Easy access for day tripping off site on foot/bike/car. No light pollution. No traffic noise. Three minute pretty walk to coastal path & rocky cove within five minute walk to sit by sea, wild ponies roam. Images show the route. More challenging to navigate over stones and seaweed to get in the water for a swim though we did manage....Read less.

This is one of our favourite campsites and we visit at least twice a year. All the facilities are brilliant and the site managers really helpful and friendly.

On our second stay this year we did notice 2 slight niggles that maybe could be addressed.

Dog poo. Unfortunately dog owners need firmer instructions about poop scooping. They are not cleaning up and there were droppings on the grass on the route to the toilet block. This was a real nuisance in the dark.

Smokers. The camper next to us was a heavy smoker and she smoked constantly from morning to night outside her tent. This was most unpleasant especially when we were eating our food in the evenings.

Neither of these things are your fault but maybe some signs for the lazy dog owners and maybe place smokers on the last pitch so they don’t spoil the air for their neighbours?

Sorry to moan , but these folks will carry on unless they are told.They are spoiling the site for others....Read less.

Just a short walk to Solva with the best natural harbour we have ever come across, absolutely stunning views with a good pub there for good food and refreshments. Nice reception from wardens when we arrived very informative. Fantastic coastline to walk. Solva not to far to walk going the lane way. Flagged down bus right outside site to go into st. Davids.

I was rather hesitant about the site as had seen lots on the way that were just fields full of campers caravans and tents all squashed in, but as its a popular area decided it was just one of those things, but it was far from it, just 20 Electric pitches made if feel quite cosy. There is a separate area for non electric pitches. The shower block and toilets were very clean. The hosts were so friendly and very approachable if you needed anything. The campsite is absolutely perfect for a family break, so clean, friendly, quiet in the night ( which is important to most campers) perfect location, stunning scenery and I have to say the best campsite Maintenance team I have ever met. Ilona and Mark work so hard here and you can see the results it is Beautiful. Extra large patches for family tents and the added bonus of wifi on the ehu field. Safe access to the coastal paths and Solva a short walk for a well deserved pint in the many welcoming pubs there. Can’t fault the campsite we stayed in the paddock so a short work to toilets ( don’t forget torches) the path is not lit so can be very dark late night ect.

About 30 min walk to the local shop 10 mins from costal path we used the costal path to get down to the town for food.

Only fault a lot of people in the paddock had their dogs of their leads, our dog can be funny with badly behaved dogs running up to him and barking ect so was quite stressful during these times I have no doubt if I notified the lady who owned the sight she would have been quick to resolve but as we was out most of the day we didn’t let it affect us, but can imagine if your dog was aggressive ect it would have been hard, after coming back from a long day out kitchen had been peed oj by one of the lovely little things 😬😬...Read less.

My wife has limited mobility and the wardens very kindly pitched us on the closed pitch to the facility block. The site is clean and spacious and the facilities although a little dated were kept in a good state of cleansliness. I feel that the very reasonable pitch fees were reflected in this fact.

You can walk to St Davids along the old airfield (about 3 miles) or to Solva (1 mile) wlboth without much traffic interference.

The wardens were friendly and helpful and this is a site that I would definitely recommend and return to....Read less.
