We always stay at Beachside in Brean, it’s a friendly, quiet and clean site that we return to twice a year.

Accommodation is quite basic but clean.

Friendly and helpful staff.Our caravan was clean and the site is well maintained. A couple of minor issues on arrival were dealt with very quickly and without fuss. Loved the easy to use shower! Only issue for us was that the bed was a lot firmer and smaller than we're used to, but this won't stop us returning next time we are in Brean.

As always the staff are very friendly and helpfull but the site needs updating.

Our decking to the caravan didn’t seem secure felt like it was going to fall through and struggled to shut the gate.

The net curtains in the caravan had been removed, this took away all privacy and meant that we had to keep the curtains shut at all times.

The resturant on site, again staff are great and the food is fabulous, but again needs updating the roof leaked in the outside part to sit with dogs,therefore this wasnt possible.

I booked this Caravan at pretty much the last minute as I was heading down to Brean with a group of friends, I decided that I wanted my own space rather than to share and be cramped in other accommodation as we had late additions to the trip. I only wanted something simple to do the job as I would be out most of the time, on arrival I was actually quite surprised at how nice this caravan was, the facilities it had and how clean it was. All guests and staff at the site were friendly, I felt safe and secure when walking around late in the evening, I know Brean very well so knew about the location attractions, activities and restaurants all of which are very good/entertaining, the only thing I would say was not perfect for me was the bed, it was comfortable but very cold meaning I had difficulty sleeping (however I always do when away from home) so could have been combination of the two.

After a short break last year, we returned for a week this year. We chose a sea view caravan. It was immaculate and comfortable with everything we needed. The whole site is clean and well maintained. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming.

The beach was our main interest but we also visited Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Weston (including the helicopter museum) and a Cider farm.

We made our first trip back to Beachside this year, much later than normal, due to family health issues. It was great to be back. The team are fantastic. We have been staying at Beachside for 15 years plus and love it there. We are due back beginning of November to stay in Mendip Lodge for our 25th wedding anniversary, as Brean is where it all began for my husband and I 34 years ago aged 17. Our only regret on this short break is we never got to say Hi to Julie and Rachel, but am sure we will catch up in November as we are staying longer....Read less.

Me and my 4 year old had a fantastic stay at the caravan! It was our first caravan stay and it was perfect. We had everything we needed, it was clean and tidy. We have stayed here previously and returned because it suits our needs for a family holiday with our grandchildren. A safe holiday park, not too big. Good parking, play area, great access to the beach, small cafe bar on site. Caravans are big enough and equipped for 2 adults and 3 children aged 9, 13 &15 -we had a Platinum.

A short walk takes you to pubs for food, a theme park, Splash pool & soft play. A bus route is near too. There is some convenience stores for essentials about 10 mins walk, Morrisons daily. Good weather again too!...Read less.

I have stayed at Beachside 4 years on the go and have already booked for next year love the location so near the beach with no road to cross and it's not far to the livelier side of holidaying but can come back to the sanity of Beachside as I love the quietness of the park.

Caravan was clean and quiet good, however, living room space was nice and comfortable, decent TV on rainy days, WiFi kept going off line, kitchen was well appointed, just lack of sink plug, bathroom area was clean, tap fitting was loose so when you turned on the tap the whole tap rotated on the sink, shower unit was a bit clostrophobic, and nowhere to put soap or shampoo, needs a tray, bedroom was clean, but space around the bed was very restricted I bruised my legs many times, I know it's only a one bedroom Caravan but we found it very restricted in certain places, I would recommend but go for the next size up . I have disabilities, I use a mobility scooter and it was a struggle getting up two slopes. Perhaps I should mention that during booking....Read less.

We stayed in van no 56. We thought the steps were dangerous especially when the wind blew as you opened the door. Really needs a good platform to alight onto first allowing you to hold the door properly. Apart from that and the weather we had a nice stay....Read less.

The caravan was very clean and comfy. We had decking going around the side to the front so were able to look out over the Channel to Wales and either side of the coast. Parking close but not right outside of the caravan. We were able to pull up to unload/load the car though. Only metres from The Sundowner Cafe/Bar so able to pop over for a meal or take away. Only downside is the caravan inside is not really ideal for someone with mobility difficulties. We took our 94 year old Mum who struggled getting in and out of bed in the double bedroom as the space between the bed and wall on both sides was very small and she kept hitting her knees and couldn't get her balance. Also there was no on-suite (loo and sink) which we thought we had. Although advertised as a 6/8 berth caravan we felt it was only really suitably for four adults. On this occasion we stayed in a beach view caravan over looking the car park, originally it was going to be a group of four unfortunately the other two people were ill and unable to come, which on this occasion was in our favour even as just two people we found the caravan very cramped and poorly designed.

It is very narrow and no kitchen workspace to work with what's over.

The steps to the caravan were so dangerous we kept slipping up and down them. (RAMPS PLEASE)!!!!

Sadly the weather was against us which is no ones fault, but the wind blew the extractor continuously all day and night and we had very little sleep.

The staff are friendly and work well.

The steps to the beach seem to be new but again a very poor design they really need to be wider and deeper and the final step on to beach looks like someone was wearing beer goggles when they built them, every one we seen kept slipping up and down them.

Another unhappy customer on Trip Advisor is raising the standard of the accommodation provided by Beachside with the Health &Safety Exec. Stayed for three nights on beachside with my partner. Used the site before so I know how nice it is. Excellent service from start to finish reception very helpful. Caravan prefect,clean with fantastic views. We were given a free couples meal at the on site bar with great service. The fish and chips so nice and a stones throw from the beach. I think the site is a great site good access. Parking can be a bit away from the caravan as you can't park outside your van or you get told off and asked to move, that didn't make a difference to us tbh. The site is in a good location for pubs and pubs with food. The down side to the site is the staff in the bar. They didn't want us tbh it was obvious to see. They closed the toilets at about 10 for cleaning and then said they wouldn't be opening back up. It was very disappointing I wouldn't spend anytime at the bar again it was a disappointing attitude. There was only a group of us there. If all tables were full you would have waited forever. I would give the campsite 9 out of 10 but the bar 2 out of 10....Read less.
