Huntly caravan park is in a sheltered location close to the Deveron River. It has a separate adults only section with grassy areas between the plots and clean gravel on each plot. Probably the worst part was power to caravans 10 not near enough to run caravan equipment that we use in ours !! Needs to be 16 amps minimum!! So it was inconvenient trying to work out what you use at one time !! NOT GOOD.. in the end with all the blowing or tripping that was so annoying to us , can I just say Eric and Shelia were brilliant at their jobs and so so friendly and approachable in any thing you asked for (ps I would keep them as your wardens to be honest ) irreplaceable these people !!! But last of all we had to cut our time with you through the inconvenience of the power by two days that we paid to you for our holidays …the place is lovely but again needs a little attention to the power...Read less.

Lovely well kept site. Lovely wardens very friendly. Nice decent size pitches. Toilets and showers spotless. My only grievance is i went for a shower on our first morning and shower was very hot, went the following day and it was freezing. Ive never experienced this before as I have visited the site many times over the last 6 years.

We loved this site, it is perfect for those with dogs. Great dog walking facilities next door, walk along the river, swimming in the river, chasing ball at the football fields, sniffing and exploring in the long grass field…‘McGregor was in his element.

We enjoyed the adult only area, lots of nice grass and trees with the town within walking distance. Toilet facilities kept really clean.

Nice site, we enjoyed our stay and walks in the park, in particular the walk to the castle and chat with one of the shop curators, very knowledgeable gent, wasn’t much I didn’t know about the Gordon’s when I left, the only reason I marked down the review was because during our two night stay there was no hot water in either male or female showers, only reason I put an average review. Reported it to warden and I saw a warden in the boiler room, unfortunately no hot water though. Shame....Read less.

All that stopped us from giving this site a five star rating was the parks onsite could be much more varied and fun. Swings, slides, climbing frames, there are plenty of options available to install.

Huntly Castle Caravan Park is a beautifully located site, reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the camping pitches were in great condition, the whole site was very well looked after, the facilities were superb and constantly keep clean and tidy.

Located next to Huntly town, a lovely friendly town with great wee independent shop to browse. Great for dog walking with many lovely walks from the site.

We were based on the fully serviced section of the site, away from the main family area, which gave us a quieter and more relaxed stay. Having full services at the pitch really does make day‑to‑day life simpler.

You’ve got great amenities within walking distance: Tesco is about 20 minutes one way, and the town is 20 minutes the other. The local chippy is only another five minutes beyond the town, though it’s worth noting that during school holidays it didn’t open until 16:00.

One of the highlights was the castle — a lovely walk from the site and a genuinely enjoyable place to explore. A very convenient location overall....Read less.

Another return visit for us to Huntly Castle caravan park, one of a few we like to try and get to every season.

The staff work hard to keep the place clean, however, whilst setting up on the pitch, I discovered two spots of dogs dirt on the grass next to us. I think I can safely assume it was the collie from a motorhome a few pitches away, the owner let her dog roam free all the time. Thankfully she left the next day.

We always enjoy our stays in Huntly and all the lovely walks nearby.

I must remember to say thank you to the warden who lent me a tv cable.

The facilities as per usual were spotlessly clean but I did notice it took a long time for hot water to come through the shower in the main block.

We liked the campsite but one thing my wife didn't like was while in shower someone kept putting lights out when exiting building , this didn't happen once , it occurred three times when in cubicle and had to come out once to put it back on .

The park and shower/toilet area were very clean only point I would make is that the showers could be extremely hot especially for the kids so perhaps a way to adjust them would be a good addition. The laundry facilities were excellent. The park in the family area was brilliant. The site is close to two major supermarkets and only a short walk into town. Couple of issues, they seem to cut the grass all day every day, seems a bit excessive. Also the hot water in the showers, it's too hot, there is no way of controlling the temperature and it's scalding! Not too busy, close to town. All in all 4*...Read less.

We just had a one night stay at this lovely Park as we were dropping off our van for the family to use . We were in the family area which has a small wooden play area and enough grass for ball games . Toilet/shower block kept very clean and great washing facilities.

We stayed for 3 nights in the adult only area. Lovely large, level pitches and very quiet. Short walk into town and to castle and lovely walks for dogs directly from the site. Toilets and showers were clean if a little dated and with the push knob system it took a while for the shower to heat up with a lot if water being wasted. Ladies block didn't have a hairdryer which a lot of sites now have. Had commercial sized washer and dryer which was great (you will need £1 coins for them). WiFi was very hit and miss, and more miss! I arrived last week towing my caravan myself onto a site for first tine as hubby was at work and cant thank the guy enough as he helped guide me onto my pitch and helped with hitching off keeping me right, so helpful and love that they have an adult only area as it was very peaceful now that my kids are all grown up now and enjoy the silence lol

Very good facilities in shower blocks, with private was basin cubicles in addition to good sized shower cubicles. Covered dish washing area. Large gravel pitches. Our pitch was badly water logged one day after heavy rain but it drained away within a few hours. Only quibbles would be - Shower temp varied, from cold to okay to piping hot on different days. The site was a bit impersonal. I had the impression that reception was usually locked. We rang the bell for service on arrival as the guy was out doing maintenance tasks around the site, and we didn’t have any further interaction with reception during our stay.

The site is well signposted and easy to find. It separates out into family, adult, camping and holiday home areas. It is well kept with good driving surfaces and cut grass. The areas are surrounded by mature trees. The facilities blocks are clean and fresh with plentiful hot water. We stayed at Huntly Castle campsite for 3 nights. It is a perfect place if you have a dog as there is plenty areas to walk and is very pleasant by the river. We opted for adults only pitch 43 which was perfect to walk the dog. Also thr sun was shining and it was a great spot. Its easy to walk into Huntly and also Tesco is 15 min walk away. We stayed for a long weekend and was our first visit in recent years. We were welcomed by Julie and Eric who were very friendly, helpful and gave us all the information we needed.

The facilities were very good and the site is very well looked after. There are plenty walks from the site and a walk into town is 10 minutes away.

A good location for exploring Castle Country and Whisky experiences. The Moray coast is less than 20 minutes away.
