We were in the family area which is super with wooden apparatus for the kids to play on in the centre of the area

Really lovely site. Only downside was that we followed the sat nav and took the first right. Ignore that command and go straight on. You will see the site board u fortunately we didn’t notice it.

We have stayed at Huntly numerous times unfortunately this time we were disappointed by the showers, they were freezing, I appreciate having to run them through but even doing that it only gave us lukewarm water and this was at different times of the day. Castle Huntly Caravan Park was absolutely stunning! The site is beautifully kept and set in lovely countryside, making it so peaceful and relaxing. The Caravan Park was absolutely spotless & clean. Lovely spacious pitches. You could walk through a short woodland onto a Riverside Walk & a wonderful Park. The Site was 5* but the area wasn't really for us with not having a car.

Although a spacious site, when we returned from a cycle ride, we found a campervan had been allowed to park so that his door faced ours. On top of this, they had erected a large awning and were now sitting on our pitch grass area.

We had no option but to move as they would never have beem asksd to move.

Of course, we had to pack our of our stuff to move.

We got a very pleasant surprise when we arrived at the caravan park. Having been in the town which comes across as run down and uncared for we fine a beautiful space which is clearly well loved and cared for. Stayed for 2 nights mid August with our two grandchildren. This is a lovely quiet location and so close to the town of Huntly 10 minutes walk away. Toilet facilities were excellent and a nice little play area within where we pitched kept then well occupied ! Would thoroughly recommend this site for family or couple trips. We were a bit disappointed at the customer service. I called on the afternoon of arrival to say we wouldn't be able to attend that weekend as our motorhome had broken down! The gentleman just said thank you for letting them know, didn't even take any details. I would have thought as a gesture of goodwill under the circumstances we would have been offered one night back as a future credit. He didn't even pass any comment about us breaking down! The site wasn't busy at all that weekend so it wasn't like we were blocking a pitch for anyone else to book.

We have stayed here before and it's a lovely site, the toilet blocks are clean and showers good. It's also great for walking the dog! Getting into the town isn't far either with a good selection of shops and cafes....Read less.

This was the last stop on a week long tour of the north east coast. If only the other Parks we had tried were of the same standard. Facilities were not new but extremely clean and well kept. The site was within a 10 minute walking distance of the town centre with easy access to the shops and restaurants.

Pitches were large and serviced with individual water and EHU and it didn't cost the earth. We've paid a lot more and received a lot less at some other noted Parks.

Would definitely stay here again and if you haven't been before I urge you to give it a try - you wont regret it. PS, the Cafe India restaurant on Gordon Street serves amazing food!...Read less.

Short walk into Huntly which is a nice town but perhaps limited commercial activity. Two large supermarkets within easy reach. Nice site within walking distance of Huntly which was very quiet when we were there(end of August)…..could only find one cafe open but learned later the golf club does food. The toilet blocks really needed some heating on and the hot water took ages to get warm too. Site itself was clean and tidy with good size pitches. There was a friendly welcome from the staff on arrival and a comprehensive explanation of the site. The walking information leaflet and the information of how to access the footpath to town was very useful. The site is well maintained and the facilities block very clean.

Access to the site is easy from the A96 in a lovely quiet area with plenty of walking foot and cycle paths, the site is well maintained and kept in a very high standard the staff are very helpful and friendly, the toilets are spotless, the town has a good variety of shops with two supermarkets on the outskirts next to the bypass, there is plenty of pleasant little villages in the area also close to the Whisky Trail....Read less.

The site as always was good and staff helpful and welcoming.

Unfortunately the holiday was ruined by the huge number of wasps everywhere on the site.

We had 3 small grandchildren with us and we were unable to eat outside the motorhome at all.

Even getting in and out involved several wasps getting in and the resulting efforts to remove them.

One of the family is allergic to stings and we had no warning before we came.

Bins were swarming with them.

Suggest you get some professional help in removing or at least reducing the number of them.

The site was good value for money, with working electrical hookup and toilets, bins and water close by. The showers facilities were clean and worked perfectly. Other guests were respectful and quite times were observed. Being able to choose your own pitch when booking was a useful and appreciated feature. There were also cooking facilities such as a food prep area and sink as well as a barbecue shelter. There were nice cafes, an Asda, play parks, the river and Huntly Castle within walking distance....Read less.

Hugely disappointing visit.

This is one of our local sites and we started using it this year for our weekend trips instead of our normal Grantown on Spey. We arrived to find that they had not honoured our booking and gave the pitch we had booked away to someone else, this has never happened to us in many years of caravanning. No fore warning, no apology, take it or leave it. When you book in advance to stay on a certain pitch it is because that is where you want to be. You take the risk that the weather might not be great by booking ahead but you do it as that is where you want to be!

Had a great couple of nights at Huntly Castle Caravan park. The pitches for the tents are a great surface and not far from toilets / facilities.

Lovely clean site , given a really warm welcome an shown to pitch. Toilet facilities were very clean. We were very close to park and river which my 5 year old granddaughter especially likes- so much fun splashing in water.

Only criticism was on the Saturday night their was a strong smell of cannabis over towards toilet block and again n the Sunday morning which was not good considering it was a family area, I realise that it is not campsites fault but maybe they need to warn people that this is unacceptable in the family area...Read less.

The pitches are large and well spaced. We liked the open grass area in the centre of each 'zone' - this gave a the site a very spacious feel. We also appreciated being able to select an 'adult only' zone (even though we like children!)

Beautifully laid out site, large pitches with a choice of where you want to pitch. Serviced pitches available and family designated area near the play park. Camping area also and some large statics. There are 3 ablution blocks and plenty of water points and waste areas with recycling!! Friendly staff on arrival! Short walk into Huntly which is sadly looking run down, with lots of premises closed due to the local superstores. Don't let this put you off as there are some beautiful buildings and the Castle is also a short walk away. A good selection of takeaways, a couple of cafes, and pubs!!
