Couple of issues, they seem to cut the grass all day every day, seems a bit excessive. Also the hot water in the showers, it's too hot, there is no way of controlling the temperature and it's scalding! Not too busy, close to town. All in all 4*...Read less.

We just had a one night stay at this lovely Park as we were dropping off our van for the family to use . We were in the family area which has a small wooden play area and enough grass for ball games . Toilet/shower block kept very clean and great washing facilities.

Tesco and Asda are both just a short drive away and there is an outdoor activity centre within walking distance ....Read less.

We stayed for 3 nights in the adult only area. Lovely large, level pitches and very quiet. Short walk into town and to castle and lovely walks for dogs directly from the site. Toilets and showers were clean if a little dated and with the push knob system it took a while for the shower to heat up with a lot if water being wasted. Ladies block didn't have a hairdryer which a lot of sites now have. Had commercial sized washer and dryer which was great (you will need £1 coins for them). WiFi was very hit and miss, and more miss! I arrived last week towing my caravan myself onto a site for first tine as hubby was at work and cant thank the guy enough as he helped guide me onto my pitch and helped with hitching off keeping me right, so helpful and love that they have an adult only area as it was very peaceful now that my kids are all grown up now and enjoy the silence lol

The site is very good. Tidy and clean. The facilities were good. The pitch sizes are decent. My only issue is the location, as Huntly town was very disappointing. Very little there worth seeing and nothing much in the way of shops cafes etc. There are out of town supermarkets which are ok for food top ups beyond that I would say you need to travel to see or do anything....Read less.

Very good facilities in shower blocks, with private was basin cubicles in addition to good sized shower cubicles. Covered dish washing area. Large gravel pitches. Our pitch was badly water logged one day after heavy rain but it drained away within a few hours. Only quibbles would be - Shower temp varied, from cold to okay to piping hot on different days. The site was a bit impersonal. I had the impression that reception was usually locked. We rang the bell for service on arrival as the guy was out doing maintenance tasks around the site, and we didn’t have any further interaction with reception during our stay.

The site is well signposted and easy to find. It separates out into family, adult, camping and holiday home areas. It is well kept with good driving surfaces and cut grass. The areas are surrounded by mature trees. The facilities blocks are clean and fresh with plentiful hot water. We stayed at Huntly Castle campsite for 3 nights. It is a perfect place if you have a dog as there is plenty areas to walk and is very pleasant by the river. We opted for adults only pitch 43 which was perfect to walk the dog. Also thr sun was shining and it was a great spot. Its easy to walk into Huntly and also Tesco is 15 min walk away. Great location and great site.

We stayed for a long weekend and was our first visit in recent years. We were welcomed by Julie and Eric who were very friendly, helpful and gave us all the information we needed.

The facilities were very good and the site is very well looked after. There are plenty walks from the site and a walk into town is 10 minutes away.

A good location for exploring Castle Country and Whisky experiences. The Moray coast is less than 20 minutes away.

Location was perfect as husband had work near by, very nice site with lovely walks around. Everything is on the door step supermarkets, places to eat. Our caravan was clean and had everything we needed.

My only niggle was we was arriving after 7pm but was running behind and I was trying to contact to let them know, the phone presumably the office landline just rang & rang I feel that this should be diverted to a mobile knowing guests are arriving after office opening hours as there was no other way to contact....Read less.

What a joy it was to have stayed at this site, we only booked for one night but would have loved to have stayed longer if our travel plans allowed. The site was very well set out and extremely clean and well kept with plenty of room per pitch. The male member of staff was very helpful and polite and gave us a lovely welcome. When booking on line we could only reserve a grass pitch in the adults area - yet whilst we were there for four nights many of the adjacent hard standing pitches were empty. Getting to the campsite and the location was great. when we check in the lady was very nice. However we booked a pitch next to the bathroom due to a mobility issue only for the bathroom block to be closed due to the season. Had to then walk to the open facilities, which was hard due to the mobility issue and not a lot of lighting. Would have asked for a different pitch at check-in if we knew the bathroom was closed.

The site is well positioned and the pitches and surrounding areas very well maintained. Lovely wheelchair « walks » from the site and it was very peaceful out of main season.the grass areas were perfectly maintained but a few things had been overlooked as it was start of season- like bins in the rubbish area and the hot water . We stayed for 3 nights and there was no hot water in the showers throughout our stay. Having looked at previous reviews this has been a problem at other times if the year too. There was also a problem with black worms and dead insects in the shower basins which was rather off putting and showed that the showers were not always being cleaned daily.

The site surroundings made up for all that, but since we were told that they were aware that the hot water takes time to heat up (but had not been set up in advance to cater for the first clients) we were disappointed that more care was not taken for the comfort of those of us there ....Read less.

We have stayed at Huntly numerous times unfortunately this time we were disappointed by the showers, they were freezing, I appreciate having to run them through but even doing that it only gave us lukewarm water and this was at different times of the day. Although a spacious site, when we returned from a cycle ride, we found a campervan had been allowed to park so that his door faced ours. On top of this, they had erected a large awning and were now sitting on our pitch grass area.

We had no option but to move as they would never have beem asksd to move.

Of course, we had to pack our of our stuff to move.
