The site is very clean and tidy with huge pitches for caravans and motorhomes on hard standings.

Amenities are clean and modern. Staff very approachable.

My only minor thing and it's not really a worry is the open footpaths to public land. We had a loose dog from the footpaths behind the site visit the site near us.

But we will revisit but maybe request a pitch away from tge footpaths ....Read less.

We booked to stay for a family wedding that was taking place 6 miles away. Very easy to find the campsite and we had a lovely friendly welcome from the wardens. We had been trying to book a taxi to take us to the venue and they were so helpful in getting phone numbers for us and could not have done more. We ended up driving our camper as there were no taxis available anywhere!

The site is very well looked after and the facilities were always clean and tidy.

Huntly Castle Caravan Park is a great place to stay if you're looking for somewhere quiet, spacious and well kept. There's plenty of quality static vans, hard pitches fotr camper vans and motor homes, as well as ample room for tents of any size.

There's several toilet and shower blocks, however, during my stay I found the showers to ages to warm up and never actually got hot. This was my only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5.

This is the 2nd time my mate and I have stayed at Huntly Caravan Park for a very good reason. The site is great, well laid out with excellent amenities kept scrupulously clean. We used a 6/7 person tent electric pitch. The staff on site are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Huntly is a 10 minute walk away and has a couple of good restaurants and pubs and also Huntly Golf club with accepts non members for drinks or a meal. All in all I would recommend the Camp site and surrounding area. We used the campsite as an excellent base for our Castlebagging adventures....Read less.

We have stayed at the Park before. It is always immaculate outside and very quiet. The shower blocks are very clean and up to date. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. There is a short walk to the Castle which is interesting and pleasant walk into Huntly town. The Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre is a couple of minutes away, at the rear of the site where a cross country ski lesson can be booked on the artificial tracks or just go in and have a coffee and a chat....Read less.

Huntly Castle Caravan Park was a perfect central base for our 2 weeks off exploring the castles in Aberdeenshire and the beautiful countryside and the Moray coastline. The site was very clean and well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful. Access to local facilities were within easy walking distance into the town whilst equally easy to access walks along the riverside and local park. Myself and my dog just stayed the one night in our tent on Wednesday 21st May. The online booking process was very slick and quick and offered a choice of pitch by pitch number. When we arrived the warden was very helpful and efficient and showed us down to our pitch. The tent field was totally unoccupied. Just off the A96, this site allows you to explore the wider area. We found the site to he very clean and tidy, a good size with roomy pitches. The toilet block was very clean and the showers excellent. A short walk away are lvely footpaths along the river with a landscaped meadow, all great for dog walking. Stayed here for a night during a tour of Scotland. The park was immaculately kept. The facilities were very clean and the staff extremely helpful. The site itself is as flat as a billiard table so no mucking about trying to level the van like most campsites. Set in a very beautiful peaceful area.

Pleasant stay again.Very clean park close to town centre.Unfortunately the only negative thing I would say is when I was here earlier in the year I said in my feedback about the light over the toilet door entrance at the nearest toilet block not giving off enough light to see the code reader and had to go back to the van again to get a torch to see to punch in the code and it still has not been rectified. Our Son and family had stayed at the Huntly Castle Caravan Park. With their camper. And when we got our motor home they said it was definitely one we should try. So on our way home from a few days away, we decided to do just that. So popped in on the off chance there was a pitch available. We were so glad we did.

We were made very welcome. The site itself was beautifully kept. And the facilities just as well cared for and spotless. Pitches were level and roomy. Loved how the site was divided into different areas. The ones for families with kids had play areas in the centre. And others were quietly tucked in and surrounded by trees so were calm and relaxing. The site was well sign posted, so easy to find, and it was just a short woodland stroll into the town itself. There is also a handy Asda and Tesco if you need to stock up for your onward journey....Read less.

If felt the toilets would have benefited from having absorbant sponges or cloths to wipe up split water the washing and shaving. The washing up sink and veg prep area less so as always had cloths and towels at had but it could have done with a waste food bin, twice I had to take other people's waste over to the bins. I also felt the water pressure was very poor, especially if its on a mains supply, but maybe from a private source. I felt the pitch fees were slightly over priced, but overall reasonably fair....Read less.

We arrived later in the early evening and called the warden who promptly appeared and guided us to the pitch which was level after which the facilities were explained as well as the local eating out, food options in Huntly on a Sunday night. We couldn't do justice to the facilities at hand in the campsite as we had to set off reasonably early in the morning. No issues at all at the campsite which was fairly quiet where we were pitched but the facilities we did use were nice and clean. As we were there for a limited time I felt we could only give 4 * but we had no problems whatsoever and would return at some point in the future. The park is secured at night until early morning and the town square is only a few minutes walk away. We ate at The Bank Restaurant which we can recommend....Read less.

On arrival the reception was locked with a note saying "out on site please ring ..." and just a couple of minutes later a very cheerful and helpful chap turned up to show us to our pitch. All good, except that there was someone in the reception who ignored me, leaving me standing in the rain - not exactly a warm welcome!

Those ridiculous push button taps in the showers and wash basins - I bet you don't have them in your home so why expect your guests to use them?

We have stayed at Huntly Castle many times over the years and always look forward to going there. The hardstanding pitches in the "Adult" area are level and good sized but are showing signs of needing some significant care and attention. The toilet block is always clean and fully functional. One issue during this stay was that we appeared to be pitched the wrong way round, which was only brought to our attention by the wardens the day after we arrived. Fire regulations being the stated issue. Having been there many times before, and pitched in exactly the same way this was "news" to us. On check-in we were only advised to park in the middle of the pitch, no mention of awning to left or right. We did take everything down, but this spoiled our trip. The site needs to better at communicating pitching rules....Read less.

The caravan site was very nice, well maintained and very helpful staff. There is easy access to walks straight from the site. The town has a large Tesco within 10mins walk from the site. The town itself has a few shops, quite a lot of empty shops, but I believe there is some investment taking place. We would use the site again, probably as a stopover to travel further north. We booked this site as we wanted to see Huntly Castle and itcwas a convenient place to meet up with friends. The site itself was clean, toilets showers etc were good ( press button entry is a bit of a pain) the warden wS very helpful, There was a good walk just behind the site.

This time was a two night stay; easy to book - fortunately we had learnt from our first stay which pitches get more sunlight than others so it was easy to choose which pitch we wanted; easy check-in - shown to the pitch; nice large pitches; bunnies playing around to give something to look at! Nice walks from the site, including easy walk to town and Tesco just down the road. Good loos, easy chemical emptying.

Being really picky, the only one suggestion as a tiny improvement would be a shelf to put the chemical loo tank lid on while it is being emptied - a flat shelf where it wouldn't fall in! But the floor was good!

My friend and I used Huntly Caravan Park as a base to explore and bag a few castles in the area.

The ease of booking the pitch and choice of pitches was great. The wardens were really friendly and helpful, guided us to our pitch and let us get on with it.

The amenities were excellent, clean and warm.

I can't fault the staff and amenities in any way.

The site is a short pleasant walk from Huntly town centre which was absolutely ideal for all our needs
