Cant fault our stay at this wonderful location with generous plots and large spacios washing/ toilet favilities. This leads me on to my only critical comment. Difficulty in reading door lock letters/ numbers. Have to almost kneel down to read them. Flow from showers not great. Have to stand close to wall to get fully under spray. Also shower timers need to be checked. Spent more time pressing button in than showering. Timed it at about 4 seconds only. This is just the best caravan site I have been to. The site is always kept immaculate, the toilet blocks are tip top, the staff are very friendly and the views over Rother valley country park are amazing. The only downfall it has is, it's quite windy (at times) being at the top of the hill, but I can put up with that. We've come in January over the last 3 years., and probably come a few more times through the year. We've used Waleswood as a base for our grandson's participation in the "Young Voices Choir" evemt at Sheffield Arena for the past thee years.

It's always been a welcoming site, which is well cared for. The existing facilities are well maintained and immaculately clean, despite the very wet weather this time! Great, friendly staff - and great coffee on the onsite café!

This time we also brought our dog and found Waleswood was really dog friendly, with him being allowed into the café and plenty of drinking bowls around the reception area. We boarded him locally fort the night of the show!

There's plenty of activities at the nearby Rother Valley Country Park, which is a short walk or drive away, although most water activities seemed closed for tge winter. There are miles of walks and mountain bike rides in and around the park, too!

My only niggle - as we'd brought the dog and the weather was rather wet, he did get very muddy: a dog and bike wash would have been most welcome!...Read less.

The facilities at this site are excellent. The two toilet blocks are 5 star. The reception come bar come coffee lounge is also excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My stay was for 3 nights stay but on the first night the hole electric on the camp site went off for 2 hours and that night was 0- very cold but after that 2 hours of going to bed early to keep warm everything else was very good...Read less.

Waleswood Caravan and Camping park is very clean and the staff are very welcoming and really helpful on tour arrival.

The Toilet blocks are very clean and tidy and very warm in the winter.

Very spacious pitches. Lovely clean park so was very impressed for our 1st stay. Staff all very polite and welcoming.Only problem was with the amount of dogs and cyclists on site it would have been a good idea to have a dog and cycle wash. (We were 3 vans all with dogs and cycles) Bearing in mind how sludgy it was around the pathways it would have made clean up a lot easier.

Visited over the festive period, the pitches were a good size, even the the non service pitch was of good size even had room to put my sister's motor on so it didn't block her lights or view.

Toilet blocks and washing facilities where amazing and very well looked after. Only issue I had was the water pressure in the 3 showers so ended up using a shower room that had a proper shower head like at home where the pressure was perfect. Water was always hot just wish the pressure was better.

Came down to visit family as we do ever year a t various times of the year.

Even in December the site facility's were spotless as they always are.

The staff in the coffee shop and reception were friendly and helpful as always.

We will be back in may July September and December of 2026 I was born and brought up in the local area within 3 miles of the park. I now live in dumfries and Galloway.

I would highly recommend this site we wanted a site that was about an hour away from Leeds, and this ticked all boxes especially if you have children as Gullivers world is 45 minute walk away or 10 minute drive we stayed early December and we will definitely be returning within the summer months. The site was very clean. The staff were very friendly and if you like walk there is a beautiful lake so bring your paddle boards and kayaks although I don’t know if you’re allowed them on there as we stayed in December but all in all very happy....Read less.

Had a lovely stay for our first outing with our motor home. Lovely spacious site with no one over looking you. Great cafe bar area and staff very friendly. Toilet and shower facilities were excellent. As im a disabled person having to use a mobility scooter these were easy to use and had everything i needed to enjoy a lovely shower every day.

The site is great, however what was frustrating is the entrance and exit gates. Camaros are fitted but no ANPR is in operation which meant pressing call button and explaining who you are on return from day out and pressing call button again when leaving. No good bye of anything, I just heard part of a conversation being carried out by staff when pushing the button. This was our 4th year for Halloween and we've always had a wonderful time, but this year the spooky woodland walk was cancelled. This we very disappointing for the children there wasn't the same vibe on the campsite as previously. I had friends ring up to book but was told the site was fully booked, yet there were lots of empty pitches. After speaking with lots of people on the sites lots we're in the same frame of mind as us, and we'll be giving it a miss next year but will return in the future if the spooky woodland walk is available....Read less.

We love this campsite been back many times wish they did a loyalty program for returning customers I think it would make people who travel tp consider returning our friends we met up with it was their first te they travelled over 2hrs for just 2 nights they said the same the shower pressure needs to be looks at the showers trickled and only stayed on for 3-4 seconds also would be nice if something happened in the cafe in the afternoons or early evening maybe quiz or bingo for when its raining that would be nice...Read less.

The only disappointment was the shower. After a cold day on the lake we were looking forward to a hot shower. We went to the smaller shower block to find the water was only luke warm and the flow little more than a dribble. I heard a family in the next few cubicles also complaining about the showers, so it wasn't just me.

Easy access to caravan site. Friendly efficient staff on reception and large emplacements. The plot we were on was fully serviced and we had wonderful views across the Rother Valley.

The toilet/shower blocks are suoerb and they have excellent diasabled access with separate facilities and also a family bathroom. Although a large site and quite full at the weekend, it was also very quiet.

The site is impressive due to good spacing between pitches, which themselves are bigger than the typical main Club sites. The majority are also fully serviced - theres no shortage - and thankfully an effort was made to make them level for once. The facilities block was immaculate, the cafe area also spot on manned by friendly and very helpful staff. For parents, there is an outdoor bar area very close to a small playground, so you could keep an eye on children.

This is a reclaimed site which has been extensively landscaped and planted. For now it does feel rather open, but as it matures should finish up being very attractive. The cafe is very well stocked with 'where to go' leaflets, but many of these are fairly distant up to say an hour away - this is perhaps the only downside. However Gullivers Kingdom is very close by for the kids, and the lake with water activities is a short drive/walk away. The Duke of Leeds pub is nearby and serves good and reasonably priced food....Read less.
