Baxby Mannor is lovely peaceful campsite. Ideal if visiting York and other local attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

Campfires always play a vital part of our camping trip and with each pitch having its own was ideal.

The only downside was the 45 wait to check in. Whilst appreciating the sites decision to continue with Covid Rules after a long car journey all we wanted to do was put up our tent and relax. Given the great guidence sent prior to arrival this seemed ott.

To be clear we appreciated the rules and why they where in place just the wait was too long.

Also the size of cars appears to have outgrown the car park spaces.. not sure the site can do much about this.

Those minor points aside we would definitely consider staying again.
