I set out on a month-long tour with the objective of reaching Orkney. The highlight of that stage of my trip was the ferry crossing on the MV Hamnavoe from Scrabster, but I was also pleased to find that the Orkney Caravan Park was a good place to base myself for visits to Kirkwall, The Stones of Stenness and The Ring of Brodgar. It's a well-kept park with good facilities and friendly staff, and I did not encounter any problems during my three night stay there.
