This campsite is a bit too expensive for a lone caravanner (£29 per night with no reduction for being only one person) if I had needed my awning there was an extra charge! Also visited the fantastic Hall but cost £8.50 with a £3 reduction for camping (national trust holiday homes give free entry on their stately homes)

Facilities are excellent though & lake & grounds beautifully designed by Capability Brown.

Fresh water taps wasted lots of water & spurted everywhere (this needs fixing)

Recycling guidance was confusing and ignored by many people (loads of landfill rubbish in what seemed to be the recycling bin.

Map of pitches on campsite was totally wrong & needs updating.

I stayed 3 nights just before schools broke up & site was almost empty (good for me as I normally stay on small secluded club CSs & CLs (this is a listed commercial site) maybe more people would stay if it was cheaper!
