We stayed here for 3 nights after booking for 4 nights, we left early due to other circumstances. We visited in the school holidays and the campsite was very full of children and families. We found the adventure playground next to the park very good for children, but were disappointed to find children playing on it noisily past 11pm. We struggled to get our toddler to sleep due to children screaming loudly on the play area until very late at night.

The site itself was nice, the games room is clean and useful and the campsite is pleasant enough. Each pitch had fresh water and an electrical hook up but these aren't available for hire so you must take your own. A huge disappointment was not having hot water in the shower block for a full 3 days. I'm pregnant and had to shower in freezing cold water. We are aware that this was due to the tank becoming empty as we were told however this was not our issue and we had paid to stay there.

There isn't much to do on the campsite itself or many walks; there is a back road walk into Aberfoyle but the site consists of a shop, the games room and a dog walking area. We would recommend to families but wouldn't stay again due to the noise at night and subsequently very poor sleep we all had.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and overall, it was a positive experience but it isn't the best site we've stayed on.
