We have stayed here twice. Both times, we have found the site to be friendly with some of the best views around. Lots of wildlife and my child was overjoyed to see an adder near the footpath (these are poisonous so be careful with children!) and crabs on the beach. Lots of gorse and wild rabbits. Stargazing is also a treat here.

There is a decent, quiet bar on-site which sometimes does food and has a pool table and a box of toys. Free wi-fi. The barstaff are very friendly.

Two play areas on-site. The larger one was sadly full of rubbish that had blown out of the bin (which wasn't emptied at all during our stay) and this would be my only criticism. In hindsight I should have mentioned it to the staff but we were too busy having fun. It looked as if someone had just emptied their van rubbish into/around the playground bin. We also had to tell a dog owner to pick up after themselves. Not the site's fault, just some disrespectful people about as everywhere!

Short walk to the village nearby (shop, pub, playground - tearoom is closed and up for sale). Beach is very clean.

Not much nearby so you need to enjoy every day at the beach or be prepared to cycle or drive out. Lots of windsurfing, kite flying and kite surfing opportunities.

The showers and toilets are fine. Clean as you'd expect from a campsite. Shower takes a couple of button pushes to get hot water.

We will definitely stay again.
