It is a large site that could use more of the land to create extra pitches, but doesn't (don't know why but this is good) and thus creating an air of freedom and solitude with extra-ordinary views over the lake. We didn't use the shop, or bar, or restaurant as we were out in town with friends who were in B & B but they are a welcome addition. Toilets/showers seemed to be clean and tidy, chemical disposal well marked as was the recycling/waste facilities.

Criticisms; The hard standing area of our pitch was small (do you get what you pay for £21 per night) and the car had to go partly on very wet grass/mud and I wouldn't like to meet another caravan on the entry/exit road as it is narrow and could cause more timid drivers problems.

However, more than happy and will definitely use the site again.
