I enjoyed my stay on this campsite. I stayed in August, and would not do that again, as I ended up with noisy neighbours for my last couple of nights (a noisy child who hit balls around my van, and a father who shouted at her a lot). However, I would be very happy to return out of school holidays. The pitches were an adequate size for my small campervan, but the big tents (in the electric hook-up area) looked a little too close together.

The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were excellent, with 5 loos, 5 showers, and 5 washing up sinks to use. There is also a family bathroom with a loo, hand sink and a bath.

I enjoyed the easy access to the cycle track, and the fact that I could catch a bus into Buxton from near the campsite. There was only one suitable bus to get in, and only one to get back. However, by taking the bus back to Earl Sterndale, and taking a very pleasant 2.5 mile walk to the campsite, I was able to return at a more flexible time.
