Initial enquiries about booking were dealt with very helpfully over the phone by Brian. Our drive to the site should’ve taken just over five hours, but instead took nine due to Friday (BH weekend) traffic 🤦🏻‍♀️ I rang ahead to say we might not get to the site before 8pm and, again, Brian was very helpful and understanding. On arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff, and Brian introduced himself. The site is in a lovely spot, a working sheep farm, surrounded by trees, hills and mountains. We bought homemade lamb & mint pies for our ‘late dinner’ which were ‘proper pies’! 👍🏼 We really couldn’t fault the site on any aspect, and other more experienced campers we spoke to said the facilities were like ‘glamping’ in comparison to other sites they’d used previously. The shop stocked everything you could possibly need as well as being a cafe providing hot drinks and breakfasts if you'd rather not use your own stove for a change! Would definitely recommend the site - walking distance to two lovely pubs too! - and hope to visit again 👍🏼👍🏼😊
