We used to come to this site a few years ago. The way the swimming pool is operated put us off from coming. The site is lovely and clean and all onsite equipment is of very good standard. We don’t like the fact that you have to pay for swimming each time you go whereas all other camp sites we visit, the pool is free. You can either book the pool privately for an hour for £15 but you don’t get a full hour as this time includes getting changed at the start and end. Or, you can attend one of the daily public swimming sessions which cost me £8 for me and my son. The pool is supposed to have a capacity of 25 people but I counted 33 people and there was just no space to swim. We were just stood around in the pool avoiding all the other people jumping everywhere. We ended up getting out after approximately 15 minutes. Our children always enjoy swimming and we always go to sites with a pool. I am sorry to say that due to the pool system here we probably won’t be returning. This is a shame as the site is lovely. If you are not fussed about swimming then I would highly recommend this site. If you like the use of the pool then I wouldn’t recommend this site.
