We took our 5 kids aged 6 to 16 and camped in the 'non' hook up field (much to their combined joy). The site is in a genuinely beautiful setting away from any main roads or residential areas. Having a fairly boisterous tribe we try and find a campsite that's busy enough so noise isn't a worry whilst being quiet enough in the evenings for some relaxation. This was the ideal place for that. The field was spacious with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy with a refreshing absence of pitching protocol in our bit. The facilities were really very good, always clean and the pizza nights were excellent for a decent feed without any washing up debacles.

I appreciate that the quality of the campsite grass is not often mentioned but if like me you hate wearing shoes it's actually a splendid bonus to walk through soft meadow grass and clover. It's awesome here! Anyway the campsite is probably the best I've stayed in during the past 30 years, just remember to take plenty of 20ps for the showers and the public beach toilets. If you go to the beaches for body or normal surfing then consider pre-buying cheap wet-suits as the water is fairly bracing regardless of the air temperature.

Have fun and make sure you walk up the hill as the views are magnificent.
